In this interview, Major General Ron Clark, currently the Commanding General of the 25th Infantry Division, talks about his views on leadership. A 1988 West Point graduate, MG Clark’s combat leadership experience includes service as a Scout Platoon Leader in Operation Desert Storm, as well as multiple levels of command in the Post-9/11 era. MG Clark provides his thoughts on applicability of fundamental leadership principles throughout the Army, and how he’s put those concepts into practice throughout his career. In addition, MG Clark speaks extensively about his experience as the commander of a light infantry battalion stationed in Iraq’s Anbar Province at a very difficult time in that country’s history. The interview concludes with his thoughts on the role that West Point has played in his career and his life, highlighted by his observation that all of his key personal and professional relationships have some connection back to West Point.
