Seneca (Stephens) Vaughn
Title

DESCRIPTION

Seneca (Stephens) Vaughn grew up in Hanna, Louisiana and attended high school in Shreveport. She entered West Point in 2001 but graduated into a very different world in 2005. Seneca was a member of the Track and Field team and sang with the Glee Club. She selected Air Defense Artillery as her branch because she liked the opportunity it represented as one of the few combat arms choices available to women at that time. Over seven years on active duty, she served at Fort Bliss, Fort Hood, and in South Korea twice, all in Patriot missile units. Throughout her interview Seneca talks about her motivation and passion, as well as the love for her family that led her to leave active service. She has lived at West Point for the past four years while her husband served in the Office of Admissions. She concludes with her thoughts on what West Point means to her and her family.
